This might not be in the final cut of « Liline Miline » but hey it's all in good fun. ;)

The colors yellow and green flooded the north east hallway tiny little first years were making their way to their very first Herbology class. Liline help her head high trying her very best to not bump into any tall Gryffindor seventh years who were making their way to transfiguration class, (then again a bump or two would do them good, who do they think they are pushing around like that anyway?).

They all crossed a small courtyard and all walked into Greenhouse One. It was like walking into a rather calm Zen garden, the students began to speak in hushed excitement as they looked all around in awe. There were giant pink flowers covering the ceiling "Those are Umbrella Flowers." Said a small voice behind her. Liline turned and saw Lynda sitting on a barrel minding her own business. Liline raised a brow at her for a moment and turned back to look at the classroom. Barrels, giant mushrooms, peaceful small creeks and fountains, all sorts of friendly and non harmful exotic plants growing chaotically.
"Hey over here!" Shouted Sean a fellow Slytherin. They followed the sound of his voice and past tall plants and multicolored flowers there were desks and chairs small fireflies flowing around the class. Many dashed to the favorite spots; the back. To her dismay, the only seats left was in the very front, she wanted to groan in frustration but that's not what a Lady does, so she contented herself to look cold as usual and sat in the front. The Hufflepuff Lynda Had finally arrived brushing off her robes; it looked like she fell over, brushing pieces of moss and dirt off her no longer fresh uniform. She sat at the last spot which was next to a rather annoyed looking blond girl.

"I see you already found your seats." Said a man's voice behind them. Liline stood up in respect of the professors' arrival; sadly, it seemed she was the only one to do so. The professor nodded and she sat. "No need to stand miss…?"
"Miline."
"Miline. No need to stand, but I thank you for showing me respect." He walked to the chalk board and put his bag down on the desk. They all looked up at him curiously, some were whispering excitedly in the back. He was a tall man, not very old, thick brown eyebrows along with some graying brown hair his eyes were like pools of tree sap, brown with amber specs. "My name is Professor Longbottom and I will be teaching you Herbology this year," Where had she heard that name before? Liline tickled her under lip with her quill as she tried to remember where she had heard his name before. Professor Longbottom raised a brow to the girls in the back who kept whispering excitedly.
"Oh oh sir?" said one of them with a rather nasal high voice raising her hand. Liline barely turned to see who it was, her lip curled in pure annoyance and disgust.  That girl was an Adlard, you could recognize that pig like nose on anyone. The Miline and Adlard family did not cope too well, indeed, both families had hated each other for generations due to the Milines' winning most of their lands and affaires during the first uprising of he-who-must-not-be-named. The Miline and Adlard families were far cousins (mostly unmentioned due to the disgrace they brought).

"Yes miss?" Called out Longbottom.
"Miss Candice Adlard." Candice, what a horrible name…. "Are you really Neville Longbottom the one who during the-" Professor Longbottom raised a hand to interrupt her, (thank Merlin, that voice is enough to make anyone jump off a cliff.)
"Yes. I was one of the many who fought during the Battle of Hogwarts." He showed nor pride nor anything that could resemble heroism, only a sad look in his eyes. "But enough of that, I will hear nothing of it during our classes! Its is off topic. Now!" He turned and sat on his desk looking at all of them. As he called their names checking attendance, Liline looked over to Candice they exchanged looks, unlike Liline, Candice wasn't the type to hide her emotions and she raised a brow and gave a challenging look, trying to provoke the blonde girl. But Liline starred back with those cold blue eyes and turned back to the front of the class, rolling her eyes. Typical. Such a brat would have no restraint or matters whatsoever with that kind of upbringing. Even the muggle born Lynda, next to here had more class than Candice.

"Today, and for the upcoming week we will be learning about bouncing bulbs." Said Longbottom calmly. "Can anyone tell me what bouncing bulbs are for?"
Few hands rose and Liline remained quiet in her seat, Lynda had her hand raised high. The professor called on a Hufflepuff boy named Keith Othen.
"I think they can be used for jumping potions?" He said shyly going pinkish.
"Yes. Five points to Hufflepuff!" He smiled and watched as more and more hands rose. Even Liline raised hers, she had forgotten that this was a competition. "Miss Miline?"
"They are used in jumping toffees and other sweets."
"Correct! Five points to Slytherin."  She sat straighter (if possible) feeling proud of herself. "Now." He rose and picked up a small barrel putting it on his desk. "I would like everyone of you to come and grab one small bulb and we shall study it and explore its powers and the consequences if not properly restrained."
The first row as to gather their bulb and so on and so forth. She grabbed one firmly and could feel it try to bounce and escape. Some had stronger bulbs that would jerk their arm around; one even received a lovely black eye. (Sean had punched himself in the face as she tried to restrain the bulb) Lynda had found a solution, she was sitting on hers, Liline blinked at the display, wondering if it was purely stupid or smart, seeing as how many of the others had already punched themselves.

"What charm should one use one these in order to restrain them?"
Liline's hand shot up, she was the only one all the others were either clueless to the answer or too occupied by their bulb. He nodded to her. "The Freezing Charm; Immobulus. A dim charm would work on a small bulb but on a larger one it would take stronger charms to restrain it." She knew this charm fairly well, her mother would use it on rodents that would get in the house. They would be paralyzed and be thrown out the window on a good day.
"Exellent. Ten points to Slytherin!" Lynda smiled at her as her chair shifted right to left due to the bulb. Liline was still trying to pin it down. The purple bulb had small little roots and tiny green leaves coming out of the top.

The class was over and they were asked to put the bulbs away without breaking anything. (Sean had a bloody nose now, and would have to be taken to the hospital wing.) How disappointing, Candice wasn't scratched or bloody, such a shame really. Perhaps a bump or two in the piggy nose would fix her face. Pity. But it wasn't too late, they had Broom practice after lunch, the day wasn't done for yet.

I've always wanted to do one of these, but never had the time.
I think it's really interesting!
