I tried overflow, relative, Fixed, even tried messing around with index-z. Tried Fiddling with Top px and Left px ... Its slightly driving me insane. lol So I'm taking a break from it. I'm pretty sure there is a small error somewhere in the code that is ruining the rest. Its one of the errors I cannot see because its most likely super obvious. (happens to me all the time

Maybe... if the other box had some of those options? If you give everything a border, you can see it moving, but your also trying to move the background image, i think?
You could use overflow: auto; and make it have a scrollbar? =/
The sidebar allows for pretty long things already. If you have spaces, does it work better? (like a sentence and not a word). There's also a "word break" or line break.. or something, but I'm not sure how well it works o3o
